Spring Break Spectacular

The kids will be on break, and you’ll need somewhere to take them (and you) to have fun, and secretly keep their minds learning! Join us for a whole week filled with science experiments, demos, and activities- fun for the whole family. Each day will have a different type of science theme, so come every day for something new and different!

Pi Day

It’s Einstein’s birthday, and we are counting down to Pi Day on 3/14 at 1:59 pm (Pi = 3.1415926). Join us for a FREE slice of pie and the most fun you will ever have with math. Math never tasted so good!

Parents Night Out

Friday, March 31, 5:30-9:30 pm

For children ages 4-11.

Parents Night Out is a great opportunity to take a romantic date night or relax while the kids are cared for and entertained!
See below for details and sign up at the bottom of this page. Please note, that some age groups fill up fast so don't wait, make your reservation early!

Children will enjoy cool experiments, interactive exhibits, and dinner provided by Papa John's.

Coffee & Cuties

April 7th at 10:00 and 11:00 am- NEW TIMES!

Join us on the first Friday of each month at 10 am and 11:00 am for  a new program that entertains the little ones in our KinderStudio. Children 5 and under will enjoy a storytime followed by a fun craft activity or animal encounter.

Dads, Moms, and Grandparents are invited to participate with their tots or relax in the seating area with a cup of joe from our coffee bar! There is no additional cost to participate and no reservations are necessary!

Discover for a Dollar

April 7th, 5:30 pm-9:00 pm

Discover family, fun and science for just $1 per person on this Friday night, courtesy of Neighbors Emergency Center!

Enjoy an evening at the Discovery Center complete with Space Theater shows, live science demonstrations, and critter encounters. Plus enjoy all of our exhibits, including the Spring 2017 traveling exhibits, Strange Matter, Brain Teasers 2, and Little Builders! 

Admission is only $1 per person, and free for members.


April 15- 9:30 am-Noon

Join us for an Easter celebration of mind-bending fun with everything related to eggs! Enjoy special EGGTIVITIES and gather egss in our EGG SCRAMBLE! Each age group will scramble for brightly colored, candy or toy-filled eggs at a scheduled time. More details coming soon. 

$8 for members, $11 for non-members.
*Prices are for children 12 and under. Chaperones are free.

Summer Camps

June 5 to July 28 - 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday

Weeklong summer camps at the Discovery Center are the perfect mix of fun and learning for children 3 years old through teens entering 6th grade. Each camp is jam-packed with science activities, crafts, discovery and fun. Camps cover a different topic each week. Sign up for one session or the whole summer.
